The current list up above are the players over 5 points. An entire listing of players with any points will be put up after the first recognized NYHA ranked tournament. We are trying to implement ways to give points to the small ball players who play bigblue. This would  give everyone incentive to play both sports. The womens' division will assume the same motions. You really have to play to rank.

Q: How are points determined?     Back to Q & A    Tournament Breakdown

A: Points come from the winning in NYHA recognized events. The winner gets 100 points. Second place gets 50 points, followed by third with 25 and fourth with 20. Places 5-8 get 10 points, places 9-16 get 5 points each. First and second round winners get 1 point for each round won. Rankings after a tournament will be posted on website the next day.

A: The only way to get ranked and be on our ranking system is to play and win NYHA recognized tournaments.There may be newer ideas added in to receive points to improve your ranking. Example: referee certification, running NYHA tournaments . The NYHA will decide on what may be added for bonus points.

A:Currently there are only 4 recognized touraments in the NYHA. The Annual Park & Recreational Big Blue Citywide - The King of the Court - The OOHA2K Open Singles - Mondial Open Singles. More may be added for this year.

A: Provisions are being made to decide on what tournaments will be added to our list. Information for joining the NYHA will be brought to you soon. By  doing so will undoubtedly get your tournament to be sanctioned by us and rated in.
