Dear Fellow Members and Handball Players, I'd like to apologize for any problems any of you had with the way OOHA was run last year. We had many internal needs to attend to in order to fulfill the obligations of the association.OOHA needs a President, Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer, all of which that I had to carry the burden myself. During the Jan-Mar 2001 indoor season, we called meetings to place members into these positions but people did not show up in force to vote for officers. Many of you forgot OOHA is your organization. Your voice to speak out for your sport. You can only have that voice by attending meetings to discuss what needs to be done. OOHA membership this year is $26. It will include 1 free tournament, 1 page web profile & coverage plus the new ooha minimags during the year. For directors, the $52(free tournaments the entire year) is still available for those who really want to be involved. Even if you do not want to join, then still send the $5 mailing list fee to receive all the schedules and information needed to find out what is happening in the handball world by mail, phone or email. Don't miss out. This year handball will grow even more. We will once again be helping the city to host the Annual Citywide tournament. There is also a new small ball citywide event being scheduled and will be free also for all to join. Use OOHA to find out the important info needed to attend these huge, free events in handball. Members need to join OOHA so we can analize the OOHA budget together in order to acknowledge what we can do for the handball world. Please become a part of those decisions.
