July 2, 2005 we witnessed Jay become the new B-Pyramid Champion. He will soon be playing for the title belt.

OOHA president Tyrone Snell posing with #4 Jonathon, #2 sean, #3 Angel, and winner Jay

Topping over 26 players including a female who zipped an opponent, newcomer Jay showed everyone what handball was about by taking the #1 spot and it's $225 first prize. He also defeated Citywide 2005 B Champ Angel T 21-8 as well as finalist, Sean 21-7.

In other action, John N who would win the Open Singles after, fell to #2 Sean 21-14. Sean faced and defeated Dennis 21-10 to reach Jonathon in the semifinals. Jonathon beat Viper Sal 21-16 and Miguel, 21-5 to face Sean. Angel had the toughest bracket and must have run out of steam when he got to the fresher and younger Jay. Angel first faced 2 time B-Pyramid winner Carlos in the first round in a tough 21-19 victory. He then faced a confident Nathan, but won only to face an even more determined Izzy. Through some controversy and his double digit point lead, Izzy came back but eventually lost 21-17. Angel's next game was Jay who had just taken out the first woman listed on the B-Pyramid, Taraisha (Teetee) Simmons. Teetee beat newcomer Rob 21-0. A rude welcoming for someone trying out tournaments for the first time. She didn't stop there as she also faced veteran Adam G, who had just defeated Steven, 21-17. Teetee earned her way on by beating a hurt Adam 21-5. OOHA's next B-Pyramid will be far more interesting. It will be for the new coveted OOHA Championship Belt which the winner will hold onto and defend to challengers throughout the east coast. Make sure you don't miss the battle for the title, coming soon.

The B title Championship belt The B Championship Belt will represent the top B in the city as he will have to defend it vigorously against those that want a piece of the title. Stipulations are being made as to who or how challengers will be able to get some of the champ, but OOHA now positions itself to say that you must first be in the top sixteen to challenge or have defeated the winner previously in order to get the title shot. The game must also be refereed by an OOHA official member to properly be recorded.

The Open TitleThe first open title belt This Belt will be the glory of all handball as the winner will hold this title as long as he can against all the players that come to take it. OOHA will host the Mr. Liberty tournament at Liberty park to set off this title challenge championship. July 30th is the day of reckoning.
